As a potential new anti-cancer drug, PEDF has been confirmed effective for different types of tumorcells in vitro and in vivo. This review focuses on the structure and function of PEDF, the mechanism of its anti-cancer effect and relatedexperimental studies. Keywords Pigment epithelium-derived factor; Cancer treatment; Serine protein kinase inhibitor
